Women's
Health Issues CPD Study Day
OSR is delighted to present
a study day looking in detail at health issues affecting women. The day
is led by Denise Tiran, MSc RGN, Director of Expectancy Ltd and
Visiting Lecturer at the University of Greenwich, London.
This day aims to provide therapists
with a greater understanding of womens reproductive health and the
conventional and complementary approaches to dealing with common womens
health issues.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the study day, participants will be able to:
- Understand female reproductive
anatomy and physiology in some depth and relate this to specific womens
health issues
- Appreciate conventional
health service provision for womens health issues
- Identify the common causes,
predisposing factors and presenting symptoms of pre-menstrual syndrome,
the peri-menopausal period and of infertility and sub-fertility
- Demonstrate and awareness
of conventional treatments for pre-menstrual syndrome, the peri-menopausal
period and of infertility and sub-fertility
- Acknowledge how complementary
therapies and natural remedies interact with conventional management
of these common womens health issues
This
seminar attracts 7 CPD points under the AoR scheme.
