What is Reiki?Reiki is a safe, hands-on integrated body therapy technique which involves the use of gentle light touch applied to the body to transfer healing energy. This energy can revitalise and restore imbalances thus creating well being of mind, body and spirit.
What are its origins?Reiki is spoken of in the ancient Buddhist Sutras, the sacred writings refer to it. Reiki dates back at least 2,500 years. Its mystery was unravelled in the 1800s by Dr Mikao Usui, a Buddhist scholar of Japan. Dr Usui tested, practised and taught the Reiki principles and healing methods throughout his life. The knowledge has been passed on from Reiki Master to Reiki Master. In the 1970's Mrs Hawayo Takata brought the Reiki healing system to the USA. Since then Reiki has spread to Europe, Canada and Australia. Reiki is not a religion, and holds no creed or doctrine.
What is Seichem?Seichem is a highly beneficial alternative to Reiki for those requiring a stronger treatment. It combines the four elements (earth, air, fire and water) to produce a variety of results. Seichem is a very powerful treatment indeed and is not for the faint-hearted.
TreatmentReiki is designed to strengthen your absorption of vital life energy and is most efficient for stress reduction, aches and pains and relaxation. Anyone can receive Reiki. The beauty of Reiki is its simplicity and safety. Reiki sessions last between one and two hours, depending on the individual's requirement. Regular treatments can help to rebalance the mind, body and spirit naturally, without the use of drugs or physical exertion. Seichem treatments are more powerful and would be used only after several Reiki treatments.
Reiki AttunementsA Reiki attunement alters a person's own internal energy system permanently. The base Chakra begins to vibrate at a new and higher level and stimulates the ability to "channel" universal energy. There are 3 levels of attunement, which must all be performed separately as, after an attunement, there is a 21-day period of adjustment to your Chi levels. The attunements take place in a series of one or two-day seminars.
