Short Courses, Workshops and Seminars
As well as the ISRMT full training course in reflexology,
OSR has a long history of providing shorter training courses both at post-graduate
training standard for trained therapists and for members of the public
with no prior experience.
Availability of courses varies throughout the year,
as they have to fit around the weekends occupied by the main reflexology
course. Full details of all the current courses, along with application
forms, can be found on the downloads page. But a typical selection at
any given time might be:
Courses
for All
- Indian Head Massage
is so popular that we have been running one course a month for several
years now. The IHM workshop has its own information page, which you
can find here.
- Hopi Ear Candling
was initially intended for therapists intending to give professional
treatments, but has proved popular with members of the public intending
to self-administer ear candles and concerned that they should do so
safely. This is an excellent one-day introduction to the safe use of
Hopi Ear Candles, including contraindications and other conditions of
the ear. The course is recognised by some insurers.
Courses
for Therapists
As well as this brief description
here, full details on all of these courses can be found on our downloads
page - or call us on 0870 740 9256 for more information.
- Nutrition for Therapists
with Sharyn Singer gives therapists the confidence to give their
clients the nutritional advice which they so often seem to need. The
course runs on one day a month for five months to allow time for long-term
case studies;
- Chinese Meridian Theory
with Geraldine Giles
introduces the Reflexology-Meridians connection, with further information
on diet and acid-alkaline balance. The course includes practical work
and case studies;
- Advanced Reflexology
Training with Tony Porter needs no introduction from us. Tony visits
the school regularly for Seminars, and Assessment dates are also scheduled;
- Magnified Healing with
Denise Hill is
for healing devotees and sceptics alike;
- Hand Reflexology with
Penny Odhams boosts
reflexologists' confidence in working the hands, or can serve as a refresher
if a therapist has not worked the hands in a while.
Seminars
with Moshe Kruchik
Full information on Moshe's
seminars in the UK can be found right here.
