Why We Love Lafumas
( Also known as La Fumas )

This is the standard couch that we use for reflexology treatments. It made a huge difference to training when we switched over to Lafumas from heavy massage couches - these recliners are lighter, more portable, take up less space when folded, and most importantly of all they are more comfortable for the client.

And what is more, they're not even designed for reflexologists - they're supposed to be a garden chair! They are quite simply the most relaxing piece of furniture, for whatever purpose, that we have ever come across.

We knew we had made the right choice of treatment couch when shortly after adopting them, we took two to the Natural Health Show in Reading in October 2001, and of the 25 people who sat in them for introductory reflexology treatments, four placed orders for a Lafuma without our even offering. And since then more and more people have been discovering just what an ingenious design this is.

The chair pictured above is in the Seigle colour and Batyline fabric, with wooden arms. It is more water-resistant than the standard padded chair, so even more suitable for keeping outside.

These came in brand new in from France in Summer 2002 - a big green bag with carrying handles that will hold your Lafuma and a good deal else besides. Great for if you need to tidy the recliner away neatly, or if you do mobile treatments and you're fed up with making five trips to and from the car each time. You can fit towels, cream, and a folding Lafuma chair in as well as the recliner! As sold in the USA for $34.95.
