OSR's Custom Lafuma Accessories
Every so often students on our course ask us one of
two questions. First, why it's so difficult to get round bolsters ("knee
rolls") to use in a treatment chair at a reasonable price. Second,
why Lafuma didn't design their recliner carry case to make it easy to
put the recliner in it.
Well, we wondered too, and looked into it, and the
answer to the first question appeared to be "because nobody makes
one", and to the second, "because they're French". Mercifully,
however, Lafuma made substantial improvements to the design of the carry
case in 2006, so we no longer need to have our own "De Luxe"
design - their new one works just fine and will even take XL recliners.

"Knee
Rolls" - Firm Round Support Bolsters
Once upon a time,
we used to buy a version of something similar to this from A Certain Therapy
Supplies Company. But they were always so expensive, we used to advise
our students who found they needed a round bolster to invest in a draft
excluder and wrap it in a towel instead.
But now we've
persuaded the same people that make our standard "D" section
foam bolster to come up with a round bolster to our own design and at
roughly half the cost. And here they are!
Amazing how such
a simple idea used to be so difficult to come by. We call them "knee
rolls" because that's where we tend to use them during a reflexology
session, but they're adequately firm for support wherever it's needed
- we could just as well have called them "neck rolls".
They come with
the same removable washable sleeve cover as the "D" bolsters,
and they are available in Green, Navy, Purple and Baby Blue as shown above,
to match a range of the Lafuma recliners which a lot of people will be
using them with.
