Indian Head Massage is a technique of manipulating soft tissues in the shoulders and scalp. The therapist uses a range of different massage pressures and rhythms to stimulate the head and neck area. A typical massage lasts about 20 minutes.
The combination of techniques used
Oxford School of Reflexology holds regular workshops in Indian Head Massage, where you can learn to use this traditional technique yourself.
For latest Indian Head Massage course dates and availability, please visit our downloads page to collect full information and an application form, or see below.
In addition, if you need information on the qualification status of this workshop (i.e., does it allow you to treat as a therapist?) send a message to this address.
Please note that following customer feedback we have extended this very popular workshop to cover more of the underlying physiology and theory of massage, as well as plenty of hands-on practical work. The workshop is therefore longer than previously.
