Here's another instant cooling product, but at least in this case we understand the science behind it.

It's basically a quick-evaporating water spray for relieving overheating. It comes in a handy little 75ml spray (the picture makes it look much bigger), so if anyone sees you using it, they will probably just think you've got one of those posh mineral water sprays that keep you beautiful, instead of thinking you're in the grip of the mother of all hot flushes.

If you try this out as soon as you get it, and think it doesn't work (we did at first!) just remember that you have to actually feel too hot to start with for it to do any good - then you really feel the benefit instantly. There are all sorts of complicated numbers about exactly how much it does cool the skin down on contact, but we do know that it works for us.

You'll see from the picture that it is also supposed to instantly relieve itching. Watch this space - we're waiting to catch someone who's got an itch so we can test it on them!
